I love my movies, and they love me.

I missed watching Love Actually. The first time I watched it was 3 years ago a few weeks after Christmas, and after that I've watched it for more than 5 times (including a few times with 2 of my exs).

What this movie delighted me was it's plot of story. The movie commences with swift snapshots of the stockpile of different main characters, so it was rather perplexing as you'd feel totally lost. Slowly as the plot develops and more clarification is given on each and every character, you'll soon get a clearer idea of the whole story. In the end, everyone is linked together with a common theme, except Rowan Atkinson. LOL.

Hugh Grant starred as UK's fresh-faced Prime Minister who gets a little bit jittery when he's around his aide, Natalie (Martine McCutcheon). He gets dubious with his attraction to Natalie and rather made a fool of himself in several occasions, however, after knowing that Natalie had resigned, he then regrets his decision. Well, it doesn't matter who you are. Everybody falls in love.

Daniel (Liam Neeson), still mourning for his wife's death, has another problem in his hands. His young stepson (Thomas Langster) has been dealing with his mother's death, rather differently. Actually, his stepson is madly in love with another girl whom he believes, does not know that he exists! Hence, Daniel and his stepson embarks on a father & son project to win's the girl heart! If you love someone, you've gotto work hard, that's for sure!

Harry (Alan Rickman), a successful businessman, feels uneasy with his young employee (Heike Makatsch), who aggressively flings around her boss catching his attention. Will Harry succumb to her fatal attraction and risk jeapordizing his marriage to Karen (Emma Thompson), who's spent all her youth being Harry's faithful wife and devoted mother to 2 loving kids? Well, choices, choices, choices. A fresh hot and expensive cupcake, or the simple ordinary bun that had been filling your tummy for years? You decide!

Harry's another employee, the lovesick Sarah (Laura Linney) is infatuated with another fellow worker (Rodrigo Santoro). Everybody in the office knows about her feelings for him, and with Harry's insistence, she finally made up a move. However, she messes her first passionate encounter, and eventually misses her chance with her love of her life. There is no 2nd chance in love; grab it, or it'll slip out of your hands.

Juliet (Keira Knightley), married to a man whose best friend (Andrew Lincoln), looks rather eccentric to him. He avoids her and acts rather hostile to her, yet in real he is secretly in love with her! She finally realizes it and things get pretty warm when he finally confesses to her his feelings, and willingly let her go happily to be with her husband. Well, when you really love someone, you'd rather let her go if it would make her happier.

Jamie (Colin Firth), a novelist, escpaes to Southern France after realizing his wife has been cheating on him, with his brother! How pathetic. Then, Jamie falls for a Portugese maid (Lucid Moniz) even though they don't speak the same languange! Ultimately, Jamie coerced himself to learn Portugese and rushes off to win his bride's heart! Well, there ain't no language barrier in love. Love itself is the universal language!

Billy Mack (Bill Nighy), a fallen rock star, desperately stages for his striking comeback with a Christmas rendering of one of his most popular hits, "Love is all around you." His career, expectedly, is damned when he trutufully spurted out his soul during the interviews. At the end of the show when Billy finally regained stardom, he realized that the one he loved most and stood for him most, is his pathetic manager. Love sticks with you, no matter how high you soar or how low you sink. Love stays in your heart.

Love Actually is the first English film that I really sit down and enjoy (besides sobbing with comfort and warmth), and after a few months craving for another view. It showed me what love really is (well, although not in real life), and how it affects people.
