Arrrgh.

Sorry for not writing. Yup, I'm in Taipei. My feet are sore and blistered, and my whole body aches. I've been walking up and down, in and out, and, over and around Taipei, dammit!

Geez. I need a break. A break from my break.

Mandarin, anyone?

I think I've spent too many days here in Hualien, I suppose. I'm starting to rust, or rather age, when I realize that I've been straining ardously just to utter some proper English words. Damn, I've been speaking too much Mandarin.

The first few days while I was here was spent on ridiculing the Taiwanese med studs who weren't really gifted with an English speaking tongue. I think my karma has manifested, I'm talking like them now! Arrrrgh!

Having been complimented by one of the pretty Meimeis here that my Mandarin was the, erm, most feasible among all of us, I couldn't help but to laugh. The fact that my primary school teacher once mocked bout the horror of me muttering Mandarin was somehow still deeply implanted inside my mind. Hey, she insulted all of my compositions! No doubt I wasn't one of her favourite student but still, that was something mean, and that traumatized me godamnit! (
Just being a lil' bit drama here
). Neh, she's not the reason I became gay!

Anyway, I don't care a damn bout it. I'm not supposed to be Chinese; My Dad was registered with a Chinese name ages ago because it was easier to get a citizenship then. He doesn't even speak Mandarin!

Now where was I again? Oh, my Mandarin. When me and my colleagues go around wandering in downtown conversing in Mandarin, people start to identify us as Hongkies. I wonder why. Well, I guess I'll have to delve into it when I'm flying over to HK next week.

Ok. Here I go again. Siennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

My last few days in Hualien...

It's time. Yup. It's time to leave. I've only have 4 days left to endure, and it feels so good.

I've finally succumbed to my thought block again. I feel like I want to write something, but I can't figure out what to write. It's like having a benign prostatic hypertrophy; you feel the urge to write, but the words just don't come out that smoothly no matter how hard you squeeze yourself.

I think I've gotten over the Ritz issue. Now that's some achievement!

Emie's been doing lots of favours for me, so I've got to buy something nice for her. I forgot her bra cup size; I wanted to get her one since the bras here are a lil bit advant-garde, as shown in the advertisements. Instead of a 2-dimensional push up thingee, now it comes with a new 3D techonology - squeezing the buns medially so it looks more feasible. So, Emie, if you do read me, please reply ASAP and tell me ur cup size!

My colleague's been trying to get some souvenirs and I'm still contemplating whether I should get one as well. Buying souvenirs seem like such a nice thing to do that I feel completely detestable about it (I don't like being nice!). Why give souvenirs to others when they don't give you souvenirs? Why bother to get a souvenir when nobody's going to treasure it? Anyway, the real reason why I'm not getting one is that I don't have the extra $$$ to do so. Wahahaha.

Having done some homework on Taipei, I have come to the conclusion that there's not really much thing to see there! Arrgh. Yet, there are a few places that I want to visit, but there won't be enough time to see them all. Erm, these places I mean are actually old temples and museums; not themeparks or shopping malls.

Now that I'm staying somewhere different from my other colleagues, I have a reason not to go out with them! Conflicts do occur in a group, I agree. Simple rules of group dynamics. Still, I prefer not to have any conflicts at all. It's fuckin' annoying. For instance, there were 5 of us and nobody could reach a consensus on where to dine. Everybody's saying that they have no idea but each and everyone is disagreeing with the suggestions made by one another. How ironic.

Oh never mind. 4 days away to ... FREEDOM!

Cheating and being cheated.

I have always tried to resist the temptation to find out what people have been writing or talking bout me. It's something good - more like a self-defense mechanism - but then I finally succumbed to it. The boredom I guess.

Anyway, somehow I traced my name in Ritz's blog [Refer to blogs posted in July-August]. They say, some secrets should remain unshovelled. Yup, they do. I was a little taken aback, but then, it doesn't really matter anyway.

I had always been feeling a lil' bit guilty about Ritz. I felt like I ruined his life or something. Yet, I felt kinda relieved now. It's like lifting a big responsibilities off your shoulder. :)

Yup he cheated over me. Neh. No big deal. All gays do, and I should have cheated when I had the chance. Darn, too busy to do that. LOL.

I had always thought he was a good kid. He is, yup I agree, then he's young. Too young for me I suppose. I told him once I felt like I'm having sex with a 13 year old kid, after he's got his new haircut. Oh shit, he got the haircut after he cheated over me. LOL.

Now that's the second time I've been cheated over in my life. The first time, I ended with a catastrophe. It's much better now. Nonetheless I was a little blunted during my 1-hour class in the cardio-lab; maybe its the de javu feeling again. The last time I got cheated was roughly 3 years ago, and I broke down. This time it felt better, I just got blunted for an hour. Am i growing up or what?

Then it was like history repeating itself again. A sheep in a wolf's skin, probably? Or I was blind, again? Ritz really seemed like a good kid, erm, yah, SEEMED to be. LOL.

Post-mortem time. Was it because something I didn't do or I didn't say? Neh... the timeline didn't indicate so; I was not that occupied with my stuffs yet. Well, at least there was no slight remorse of what he'd been doing while we were seeing each other. Muahaha, and this is something I'm gonna reassure myself that I should not feel bad about it! Arrrgh, it's time I spill it to Emie. Least that's the only thing that would make me feel better and Emie's always hungry to know bout such stuffs. That bitch. She's probably busy gyrating on somebody's lap.

Anyway, here's another few lessons re-learned.
1. Guys who are beautiful never can I afford; they're too luxurious!
2. Guys need no reasons to cheat; they cheat for a living.

One more question. Is it time for me to relocate my blog's addie again? Not again?

Shit! I'm not going to date anyone anymore! LOL

Hualien's Cultural Bloom

I went to get a glimpse on the culture of the indigenous tribes of Taiwan during their daily performance in a local cultural center. What is remarkable is that all of them who were performing are all teenagers. Yup, young, robust and energetic people who really care bout their own culture and heritage. What's more? They do it for free (or maybe the government does provide them with incentives or allowance or something)! Still, it was spectacular and mouth-watering. LOL.

Anyway, have a few eye openings of the native dances.

And we managed to get a shot with them too!

Taruko Gorge

Here's one of Hualien's most visited tourist hotspots - Taruko Gorge. Well, it's not as dazzling as in China's Jiujaigou but it still is gorgeous. Anyway, you'll get bored after somewhile, since what you can see is just, rocks, rocks, rocks, streams, and trees. -.-

Here's the entrance to the Taruko Gorge. The door-like arc to the left is actually the entrance for the Hualian-Taitong highway, which forks from the road leading to the entrance of the Taruko Gorge.

Mysterious Valley. Nothing special, b
ut rocks. :)

Another tunnel to the inner p
arts of Taruko Gorge, taken from the bridge above the Mysterious Valley.

One of the tunnels overviewing the swallow grotto, where thousands of swallows used to
nest there before the flocks of tourists scared them away. Now, it's empty but the cracks on the rocks are still attractive.

One of t
he precipitous cliffs overseeing the river in the Nine-Turns Caves. Like usual, rocks, rocks, and more rocks.

Sceneries in Taruko Gorge. Rocks, rocks, rocks.

Scaling the walls in Taruko Gorge!

Another landmark in Taruko Gorge, yet, to me, it's something ordinary. Nothing special. A bridge built a
nd named after some ex-president's mom. -.-

The bridge leading to the only temple in Taruko Gorge. The temple wasn't that attractive though, but then, there ain't nothing much to see anymore.

Yup. The small temple-like building behind me is a memorial dedicated to all the workers killed while working this highway. But the name is weird. Memorial of Eternal Spring. -.-

Hualien's Seaside!

Hualien's seaside is rather different from the beaches I've been in Malaysia, mainly because it's not sandy. Although the weather was cool, we did not dare to dip ourselves because of the huge waves and the strong currents. Neh, better not get myself killed!

Tzu Chi Compound

Here's some photos that we took in Tzu Chi hospital.
